Restrictive Zone Tracking Configuration

Restrictive Zone Tracking Configuration

Overview

The Restrictive Zone Tracking feature allows you to control where GPS tracking data is accepted from an asset. When enabled, the platform will only process and store tracking data that complies with the configured zone rules. Any data received outside the allowed conditions is discarded.

This feature is useful for organisations that want to:

  • Improve data quality

  • Reduce unnecessary tracking records

  • Restrict tracking to operational sites

  • Ignore GPS reports outside designated work areas

NOTE: YOUR DEVICE WILL GO OFFLINE WHEN OUTSIDE THE GEOFENCE/ZONE.
*** IF YOU DO NOT HAVE A VALID USE CASE, DO NOT ENABLE THIS FEATURE.***

Prerequisites

Before configuring Restrictive Zone Tracking, ensure that:

  • The required Locations, Areas (Geofences), No-Go Zones, or Keep-In Zones have already been created.

  • You have permission to edit the device settings.
