Where do I point my trackers?

First read the overview of pointing devices to the platform

You will need 2 settings to point a tracker to our servers
  1. Port look up the port for my device
  2. Server address - data.gpsiot.net

Port

Each manufacturer has a different port, to find out the port to use for your tracker, please visit our website and search for your device
If your model is not specifically listed, use the port for that manufacturer
In the majority of cases, we use 1 port per manufacturer

Server Address

Never use our IP address unless you have no other option, you should always point to the domain name data.gpsiot.net
By using the domain name, you fall under our automated multi region disaster recovery plan

Always use data.gpsiot.net if you want the highest levels of uptime.

Only use this IP if you have no other choice 209.250.254.35
Uptime Service Level Agreements cannot be honoured if you use an IP Address.

Other important settings

1. All trackers should be set to UTC 0 / GMT 0 timezone, no matter where you are in the world.
2. If possible, set the device to send oldest data first

Using the above 2 settings will ensure your devices works properly on the platform.
