Howen Configuratio Procedure Via Mobile app ( Howen iTool new firmware)

A. Quick setup.

 The Howen iTool application is used to configure the device in this guide.

To point the device to your whitelabel platform, follow the steps below:

1. Download the Howen iTool here


2. Connect the dash camera to your mobile phone's Wi-Fi or device Hotspot.

     The device is available for connection only 3 minutes after it is switched on.

3. Open the Howen iTool application and find the device.

Use the refresh button if necessary.





4. Select and log in to the device. The default password is 111111.






 

B. Configure System Settings.

To configure the device, click on config. 


Set user details if interested in device security 




To set your time zone, go to the clock and then set your time zone.  Remember, when adding the device on the platform-side, you will be required to apply an offset 



To set power-related settings.



To set  sleep-related settings

To set disk settings



Set your preferred audio settings



Here you can manage your parameters /configuration items





C. Configure Video Settings.


To set the very key general settings.





Configure the Mstream  video settings 



Set  the stream video settings 



Under the storage device, the file storage-related settings 



If you have an On-Screen Display (OSD) set the parameters 




video blocking and privacy settings as per your preference




D. Configure Network Settings 

i. Pointing gps and video data to the server to receive GPS location data.


Update the server settings   on centre-1, make sure you select H-protocol

server is: data.gpsiot.net port 8933

for ftp server details, 

server: media.gpsiot.net

user and password: Reach out to support







ii. Set the ftp server details (server to receive  video files)



iii. Set apn settings 







iv. Set the Wi-Fi settings. This will enable device report using wiffi connectivity when in range





E. Configure Alarm Settings.

Configuration of Alarms/event select Alarm



To set speed-related events, go to alarm >>speed



To set harsh related  events, go to alarm>> G sensor

impact./crash incident


harsh cornering/tilt incident



Harsh acceleration incident





Harsh braking 





motion detection /motion events 





set voltage-related events
